Claudia Leonard Smith, founder and lead designer of Claudia Leonard Interiors, has been passionate about design from a young age, influenced by her mother’s love for collecting timeless furniture, art, and treasures. This appreciation for blending custom pieces with carefully curated finds is at the core of Claudia’s design philosophy—creating transitional spaces rich in character and personality.

With a background in Finance and Accounting from Fairfield University and extensive experience in design and project management, Claudia combines her creative vision with strong business acumen. Her unique approach sets her apart in the design industry, offering clients a full-service design experience where every project is handled with precision and care. Claudia’s designs are driven by the desire to create inviting, intimate spaces that tell a story, reflecting the unique tastes and lifestyles of the people who inhabit them.

Outside of her work, Claudia enjoys yoga, running along the Charleston Battery, and spending time with her husband, Mike, who shares her love for the outdoors, cooking, and hosting family and friends. Her favorite place in the world is Southold, NY, a cherished town on Long Island’s North Fork, where her family has enjoyed summer visits for over 20 years.
